The Arbor Day Foundation recently named the City of Newnan a 2024 Tree City USA in honor of Newnan’s commitment to plant, grow, and maintain trees to benefit the community.
Mayor Brady shared, “Trees are vital to Newnan’s health and sustainability, and we are committed to ensuring that future generations can enjoy the benefits they provide. I want to thank the Tree/Park Commission, Mike Furbush, our City Arborist, and his team for their hard work. This designation is a testament to their collective dedication to our community.”
The Abor Day Foundation is a global nonprofit with a mission to inspire people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees. Its network of more than a million supporters and partners has helped the organization plant more than 50 million trees in forests and communities across more than 60 countries since 1972.
