Originally from Jacksonville, FL, Michael Klahr attended Vanderbilt University and Tennessee State University, earning his degrees in engineering and business administration, before becoming a licensed professional engineer, a certified floodplain manager, and a level II certified design professional. He worked for the Tennessee Department of Transportation and CSA Group, an Engineering Consulting firm, before joining the City of Newnan Engineering Department in 2004. When he gets time to himself, he enjoys spending it on the beach, working on his patio container garden, and exploring urban areas and historical sites.
