Jada Blankenship, Municipal Court Clerk, has been with the City of Newnan since 2006 and worked her way up from an entry level court position. It took her a little while to find this career path, but now she know it was meant for her. She was born in Douglas County and moved to Troup County at the age of nine. She graduated from Troup High School. She continued her education at the University of West Georgia, West Georgia College, obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Immediately upon graduation, she accepted a position in the marketing department at Northwest Exterminating. After 4 years with the company, she was moved into the Marketing Director position. She held this position for over 2 years, and decided her 67 mile commute was just too much with a 6 month old son at home. After reevaluating the important things in her life, she decided to accept a position 8 miles from home with the City of Newnan. That was one of the best decisions she's ever made. She's currently married to her husband of 23 years and they have two boys, a miniature schnauzer and a lab/pointer rescue pup at home. She loves to spend time traveling, camping, playing sports, and following the Georgia Bulldogs. She has been very blessed with a wonderful career helping others and a family that keeps my heart happy…and my schedule busy!
