Brent Snodgrass is the Leisure Services Director for the City of Newnan. He is responsible for the overall management and operations of city-owned facilities including rentals and community programs at the Wadsworth Auditorium, Howard Warner and Wesley St. gymnasiums, Lynch Park Pool and various other city-owned parks. Brent also organizes and oversees Leisure Services events and activities within city-owned parks.
He previously worked five years with Coweta County in Parks & Recreation, with the final two years as Division Director, Programs. In this role, he managed existing youth and adult recreation programming, as well as senior services. Brent helped revamp Summer camp programming to create more opportunities for youth to experience different types of recreation, without needing to commit to a full season in a particular sport or program. He also introduced new programming to the Community through successful partnerships, including Youth Mountain Biking, Youth Running, and Girls Flag Football programs.
Prior to working in Coweta County, Brent worked for an event management company for ten years as a Production Director, responsible for bringing large-scale events to different parts of North America. In his role, he worked with many different municipalities to bring in infrastructure to create temporary venues for professional cycling races, and mass participation rides and running events, some of which were televised nationally and internationally. Brent has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business, in Marketing ‘07. He also attended Young Harris College receiving an Associate’s Degree in Business, ’05, and attended Georgia State University for a Master’s in Sports Management, ‘10.
Brent has lived in Newnan for fourteen years, and is married to his beautiful wife, Gabrielle. They have three kids Nathan (7), Joshua (5) and Chloe (4mo). Brent enjoys running in endurance events and watching his boys play baseball, soccer and participating in biking, running and triathlon events. And everyone in his household is a Georgia Bulldog fan.
