How to Ensure Neighborhood Watch Success
- Leadership: The neighborhood watch chairperson and block captains should be active.
- Communication: Stay informed about the issues in your neighborhood and share them with others. Social media may assist.
- Commitment: Commit to staying involved.
- Desire: To make a difference in your neighborhood and improve neighborhood safety.
The Newnan Police Department is happy to meet with you and help organize a Neighborhood Watch Program. We will provide tools to assist and ensure your Neighborhood Watch Program's success.

Tips
- The triangle tech: Know your neighbors in front, left, and right of your residence.
- If someone is outside, by your car, use the car emergency alarm to scare them.
- Place sensor lights on all corners of your house.
- Keep hedges and shrubs trimmed.
- Check all doors and windows before you go to bed.
- Consider using apps that may promote neighborhood watch success.
