NOTE: GFL's contract with the City of Newnan expires at the end of 2022. Amwaste will take over trash pickup starting in 2023.

Residential recycling and trash pick up are contracted with GFL Environmental. GFL services the City of Newnan on Thursdays and Fridays. See an Interactive GIS City Map showing garbage collection routes. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact GFL.

The City of Newnan collects brush and bulk items as a city service. Please see an Interactive GIS City Map showing brush and bulk collection days.

We are not able to remove the following items:

  • Tires
  • Batteries
  • Paint, paint thinner or paint cans (excluding dry, empty paint cans)
  • Motor oil or gasoline
  • Bulky waste containing chlorofluorocarbon refrigerants or freon

Guidelines

  • When setting out yard debris and bulk waste items, please keep clear the sidewalks and streets. The items should not block the sidewalk or road from being used.
  • Please make sure yard debris is located in a place which does not block storm drains.
