Upcoming Parades
The City of Newnan is excited to announce the annual Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. Our theme this year is "Christmas at the North Pole."
Parade Route and Viewing Locations
The parade floats will start in the parking lot by Dunc's BBQ on Jackson Street. They will make their way down Jackson Street before dispersing around Greenville Street park. The viewing areas will be along Jackson Street between Clark Street and Salibide Avenue. Inquiries about the route and viewing areas can be placed to Katie Mosley, Leisure Services Director by email or phone.

The following forms must be submitted:
- Parade Application
- Participation Rules and Safety Guidelines & Float Judging Rules Acknowledgement
- A notarized copy of the Release of All Claims. Please note a FREE notary is available at City Hall (25 LaGrange Street). A notary is also available at the Newnan Carnegie Library (1 LaGrange Street) for $2 per notarized signature
- Entry Description Form
- Non-refundable entry fee of $45 - The entry fee may be paid by check, credit card, or cash. Credit card payments may be paid online or in person. Please make checks payable to The City of Newnan.

Applications must be received by November 30, 2023.
An informational meeting for parade participants will take place Thursday, November 30 at 6 PM at City Hall (25 LaGrange Street). We strongly suggest a representative for your group attend this meeting, which will cover information on staging, parade route and safety rules.
PLEASE NOTE PRE-EVENT STAGING AREA FOR 2023:
- FLOATS - Parking lot located adjacent to and behind Dunc’s BBQ (98 Jackson Street, Newnan, Georgia 30263); and
- WALKING GROUPS - Parking Lot of the University of West Georgia - Newnan Campus (80 Jackson Street, Newnan, Georgia 30263).
- Participants may arrive at the staging area Saturday, December 9, 2023 after 10:00am
- Support vehicles will not be permitted to park in the float staging area
- Floats must be in line by 4:00 p.m. for judging (see Float Judging Rules, page 6)
- All other participants will need to arrive by 5:00 p.m.
- Walkers and floats will meet and leave from the same location along Jackson Street
